The Windham Eagles capped off an unforgettable season with back-to-back Class AA Boys Basketball State Championships in 2024 and 2025, solidifying their place in Maine high school basketball history.
This year’s celebration was held at the Pat Moody Courts in Windham, a fitting location to honor both the team’s accomplishments and the late Pat Moody’s legacy in the community. Players, families, friends, alumni, and loyal fans filled the courts to celebrate the Eagles’ incredible run.
The voice of Windham Athletics, Bob Witham, served as Master of Ceremonies, calling each player, coach, and manager to the front to be recognized. Every member of the program received a championship ring, custom engraved to mark their role in this historic achievement. In addition, players were gifted championship shirts, “back-to-back” pullovers, commemorative plaques, stickers, and other keepsakes designed to honor their commitment and success.
The 2025 title was sealed in dramatic fashion this past March when Windham edged out South Portland in a thrilling 55–52 victory. The game was a defensive battle that came down to the final possessions, showcasing the Eagles’ resilience, poise, and trust in one another.
For the players, this moment represented more than just winning. It was about the countless hours in the gym, the adversity they overcame together, and the pride of representing their community. For the fans, it was about witnessing a team that not only played with grit and heart but also carried themselves with character and unity.
