2022-2023 Season Outlook

2022-2023 Windham Boys Season Outlook

The Eagles have one returning starter back in Creighty Dickson, sophomore, coming into the 2022-2023 season.  Dickson is a strong guard with skill and undeniable passion for the game.  Owen Combes, senior, a backcourt staple for the team had his season cut short last year due to injury and looks to bring high value as our leader and co-captain.  Our only other senior, Chase Wescott, brings his shooting touch and experience to lead both on and off the court.  Blake McPherson rounds out the four varsity returning players to this year’s team.  Blake brings his energy, athleticism, toughness, and relentlessness on both ends of the floor.

When you have newcomers to any team, you usually lack a connection or there is a delayed process on comradery, not with this group.  The team is as tight knit on and off the court that we have had at Windham.  A group of returners with high character and passion have found common ground with several new additions.

Erik Bowen, a junior, was voted on by his teammates to help lead the team with Owen Combes as a co-captain.  Bowen brings energy, toughness and a competitive fire that is contagious.  Quinton Lindsay, junior, returns from Deering where he was a key piece for the Rams the last few seasons.  Quinton is no stranger to this group and brings a tremendous amount of court awareness, composure and will to win.  Junior, Beni Ninziza, brings length and quickness for this team and looks to provide a defensive presence.  Sophomore, Conor Janvrin has improved his game over the last year, he brings scoring and ability to create for others in our offensive attack.

Two Freshman round out our varsity team, AJ Moody and Tyrie James.  AJ is a lengthy, quick, and high motor player that can score in multiple ways while also being able to defend multiple positions.  Tyrie James brings a tremendous skill set with his ball handling and his shooting ability.

This team is new on paper but have created a togetherness that will help them navigate through our incredibly tough schedule.  They are a team that will not back down and will come ready to compete each night.  They will represent our town and school with their tremendous character, work ethic and bond.

Go Eagles
