The No. 8 Eagles (4-16) mounted a fourth-quarter comeback but came up short, falling to the No. 1 Red Eddies (17-2) in a Class AA North quarterfinal at Auburn. Eagles were able to hold front runner for Mr. Basketball John Shea to just 4 points.
Edward Little will face the winner of No. 4 Lewiston (13-5) and No. 5 Deering (8-10) next Thursday at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
Will Mannette hit five of his six 3-pointers in the second half to pull the Eagles within striking distance. He finished with 18 points.
Eli St. Laurent scored 19 points for Edward Little.
